Deepeek

See video recording and analytics for your mobile app

August 2020 We disbanded the project

It proved to be a steep curve to climb in the analytics world because of all the security concerns attached to handing over your data to someone else! we tried and tried, but at one point you need to pause and take a hard look at the options available and the effort needed.

March 19, 2020 First time getting featured

We made it to Betalist.

For us, this is a big deal because we never tried this approach in getting publicity via blogs and other websites, I really hope this time my investment in getting the site published is going to pay off.

March 18, 2020 Beta is out - give it a try and feedback :D

Deepeek’s User Recordings analyze users' behavior and record all taps, swipes, and actions. By watching user recordings of real-time user sessions, you’ll have a clear, visual representation of what is “working” for your mobile app and what isn’t.

Deepeek enables you to easily track funnel conversion rates and discover the reasons for why users drop-off. You can also watch video recordings of users that completed or didn’t complete a particular process. In addition, our analytics do not require any pre-defining of events. Deepeek automatically detects all screens, gestures and user actions in your app, saving you time and improving your workflow.

March 10, 2020 I decided to give it another shot

I started listening to indie hacker podcast few months ago, it got me thinking about all the things we did wrong while lunching this product 3 years ago, I did my research in the market and found that this product is still needed and more than before. So I decided to start again.

      More than happy to share.
When we started, we did not think about how to get the first customer.
So we got Google and Facebook ads, as we learned, ads like that does not work well for a newly created brand, traffic came in but most of it was users looking for something else (like mobile number GPS tracking) and the few which were looking for a product like ours they also decided not to buy our service because we were not on any blog etc.. no one recommended us and google ads does not give the users the feeling of trust for the brand.

December 1, 2017 We decided to close down

We felt that there is no point of continuing this journey, it seemed like a waste of time and effort, we ran out of ideas and it was too painful to sustain, so we decided to let go of the whole idea, and shut it down completely. It was a painful year after all.

October 1, 2017 We spent too much effort and money and no result

Our hopes to get the first customer is now very low, we tried everything we know of, but still, there was not single signup. We got demotivated and started to feel the pressure to act. There was nothing much left to try, our full-time jobs also got us occupied more and more.

May 1, 2017 Chasing the first customer

We tried to get our first customer via google and LinkedIn paid ads, this did not work at all. We then started calling connections to see if anyone is interested, then all of a sudden we found one, however, even after meeting the mobile team in person they did not go ahead with us.

April 1, 2017 200$ for Google Ads

we spent the first 200$ on google ads, we thought that this is going to be the easy part, however, we were so wrong as we saw in the next few months, there was no meaningful traction generated from the ads, we did not know how to explain our product and sell it via paid marketing.

hi Baraa, has this changed at all for you through paid media channels like Google Ads?

March 1, 2017 Finished MVP

2 months and the MVP is done, we started with iOS first and used the SDK in production successfully. We have seen some great first impressions from friends but nothing more than that. We were very happy to get this out of the door and we were ready for financial independence.

January 1, 2017 The idea

Our startup got acquired with a successful exit, This idea was the most obvious next thing I and the other co-founders should do, it was such a pain to do mobile analytics and we really wanted to solve this once and for all.
Appsee was starting at that time, but it was simply too expensive and loaded with features that we did not need.

About

During my time as a CTO of a startup, we always faced an issue with mobile app funnel tracking. every time we needed to track an event we needed to do a lot of work, from that frustration we decided to lunch Deepeek.
