DepChecker
NPM dependency management reports for software consultants.
Now that my MVP is at a place where it's got the minimal set of features to get the point across, and I have a landing page detailing the value proposition, I've started trying to target small groups of people to see how they interact (Google Analytics) with the free version (no email of anything required).
I'm finding people via my network, searching for software consultancies and pinning down a JavaScript developer there, through unmaintained GitHub projects where users requested something that DepChecker does, etc. I'll slowly do some cold emailing to try and get feedback and validate whether people want this.
My colleague asked me to build a tool that would help him audit and maintain clients' JavaScript/npm dependencies, with the goal of more billable maintenance hours. He said he wanted to simply be able to copy and paste a package.json for it to work.
