DeployBoard
Track your application deployments.
I was able to talk to some potential customers and received some excellent feedback. It turns out a lot of people are tracking their deployment history using Google Sheets. This is great news since nobody likes adding things manually to a spreadsheet. One customer actually automated updating the spreadsheet as part of their deployment pipeline, but it's still not desirable. I now need to find a way to take DeployBoard from a "nice to have" to a "need to have."
I signed up for Stripe Atlas which included an LLC, bank account, and an EIN number. I was also able to partner with Stripe Atlas to join AWS Amplify to receive some AWS credits to keep my costs down for a while. I was planning to sign up for Stripe anyway, I still needed a business account and to get my EIN, and the Atlas program made it very easy to set everything up. It was a nice bonus to receive the AWS credits from the Amplify program. Looking forward to next steps!

It only took a few weeks, but I finally completed building the minimum viable product for DeployBoard. I worked nights and weekends, and I built the whole app completely serverless on AWS API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB. I am hesitant to call this an MVP since it's not functional as a SaaS yet since I still need to incorporate authentication/authorization, group membership, and quite a few other features before I would expect any user to sign up. It is at least at a point I can show it to potential customers and get some feedback.

As a systems administrator in charge of application deployments, I got tired of being asked "What version of <application> is deployed to <environment>?" So I began building a tool to answer that question.
I thought this tool might be great as a SaaS as others must have the same problem. We'll see how it goes!
