DevInsight
Understand your development team
I'm getting quite a lot of traffic at getdevinsight.com but so far getting them to sign up has been quite a challenge.
Following lots of feedback and research, I think there are a couple of issues that are stopping people from signing up. The first is the expectation of a credit card during the registration process. This has been removed and I'm excited to see what kind of difference it'll make.
The second is not being clear enough on the landing page about the benefits DevInsight can deliver. Perhaps it is too wordy and technical. I'm currently developing a new version of the landing page with more images/video and less text. The video will highlight in a few steps exactly what DevInsight delivers.
The plan is to quickly show the steps from adding your code repositories to DevInsight delivering improvement suggestions.
Another way to help turn visitors to users is add more trust signals. Why should the visitor believe that you can achieve the claimed results? Will my data be safe? and so on. These changes will be added this week as well.
After our launch last week I've received loads of great feedback on DevInsight. One the recurring themes was asking for a free trial that didn't require a credit card, so that has now been added to DevInsight.
Users can sign up with just an email and get full access to DevInsight free for 7 days to see how the software works.
Hopefully this will lead to even more feedback about DevInsight and potential future improvements.

After some positive (and critical) initial feedback I have updated the landing page for DevInsight. Take a look: getdevinsight.com
Several people suggested that the landing page message was unclear or didn't focus on the product benefits enough so I've altered the main hero tagline to be more directly about WHY you should use DevInsight.
I'm continuing to ask for feedback over the coming days so I will measure the impact of these changes and iterate as needed.

Very early feedback on the launch showed that people wanted a low commitment way to check out the product before subscribing.
DevInsight does have a free 7 day trial but registration requires a credit card. I'm currently testing this approach and it may change.
In the meantime, I've added a Beta program to allow people to apply to be beta testers in return for fully free, no commitment (i.e. no credit card) access to DevInsight. I already have some people lined up to start testing and providing feedback which is very exciting!
As with everything, the Beta Program is an experiment I will track to see how people use DevInsight and iterate and improve following their feedback.
If you're interested in the Beta Program please take a look here: https://getdevinsight.com/beta-request

Please take a look at https://www.producthunt.com/posts/devinsight
Very open to feedback and suggestions as this is just the Alpha release so much more to come!

The Alpha version of getdevinsight.com has been released! It's been a lot of work to get here but I'm extremely delighted to finally release something to the world.
Ever since working as a CTO and wanting a tool like this to help me, I've been thinking and planning what to build and DevInsight is the result. It's by no means perfect or feature complete and still has a long way to go but it genuinely is the thing I needed back then and I hope it will help others out too.
Now comes the fun part!

Although this doesn't sound like a lot, releasing the coming soon page was a big job as it meant putting the entire site live and testing everything was working correctly.
As of right now, visitors can subscribe for updates to when we release (which should be very soon!). I wanted to get the site live ASAP so I can do a lot of testing before turning off the coming soon page and enabling full registration.
I've done quite a few new site deployments so this one went smoothly. Getting the web server setup correctly, deploying laravel, setting up redis, various background jobs, securing the backend and so on.
Now when people visit getdevinsight.com they should notice how blazing fast it is and be able to add their email address. Next up, Alpha release!

I checked the site, it shows what it does. nice!
I have some a question like did you create the landing page? or did you use any template?-

Hey, thanks for the feedback. No template, I just used Bootstrap 4 and some stock images, fontawesome for the icons.
I tried to take inspiration from looking at loads of landing pages on IH and other places and this is the result. I don't think it will win any design awards but as long as people can understand what DevInsight is about them I'm happy.

DevInsight started out as a "scratch your own itch" product. Working as CTO at a funded started, I had a growing tech team and would have loved an easy way to see how everyone was doing at a glance.
After leaving the startup, I realised that perhaps others would also like something similar. Especially non-technical founders who want to startup a tech company.
A few emails and discussions with other CTO's and non-technical entrepreneurs and I realised the idea had legs.
I'm now starting to reach out to the wider community to see if others have feedback on the idea.
