A Beautiful Mood Tracker & Digital Diary

May 23, 2025 I built a journaling app to reconnect with myself. Meet Diariz.

Hi Indie Hackers! 👋

After months of quiet work, late-night debugging, and second-guessing everything, I’m finally ready to share something close to my heart — Diariz.

It started with a feeling:
I was losing touch with myself. Life was busy, noisy, and fast. I’d go weeks without checking in emotionally. I missed the clarity that comes from slowing down and just... writing. Journaling had always helped me feel grounded, but I kept falling out of the habit.

So I built a tool that would make it easier.

🪶 Diariz is a clean, minimal journaling + mood tracking app designed to help you reflect, understand your emotional patterns, and build a gentle habit of writing. No pressure. Just a space that feels good to return to.

Why I built it:

I didn’t want a cluttered app or a social feed disguised as a wellness tool.
I wanted something quiet.
Something mine.
Something that made it easier to breathe.

What it does:

  • Track your mood daily with a tap

  • Write journal entries — short or long

  • See trends in how you’re feeling over time

  • Get gentle affirmations and prompts

  • Designed mobile-first with a clean, calming interface

This isn’t a startup I planned.
It’s a tool I needed — and maybe others do too.

💡 If you’ve ever felt disconnected from yourself, or just want a calmer way to journal and reflect, I’d love for you to try Diariz.

Would love feedback or thoughts — and thank you to this community for always being inspiring. 🙏

I put a lot of care into making Diariz feel calming and focused — glad it came through.
If you have any feedback or ideas as you explore it more, I’d love to hear them!

About

I created Diariz because I was struggling to stay connected with my emotions while juggling a busy life. I needed a simple, beautiful space to reflect daily and notice emotional patterns — without feeling overwhelmed. Di
