We'll this has been bootstrapped with no marketing spend. (This make a change as I've had investment for my previous businesses). Its been a fun learning journey but from a lot of mistake made in the past I've been able to cut the crap and focus on what's important, value for our targeted personas. I've grown the community by doing lots of customer interviews and it helped me shape a new product launching next month to replace the current beta version.
Today we hit our 500 members target in our PHP community & close to 1,000 (969) for the HTML community, with the CSS community at 753. Not bad for our first month. Next challenge is to make sure people fully engage and share content. We will be using Intercom follow up emails to try and bring people back. Any other tips are welcome.

After 6 months of business analysis, we decided to part ways with our previous brand, product and mission (Digital Profile). Yes, we started making sales and started growing but we felt we had gone off track and down the wrong road. As a founder when you start your startup journey you will get faced with many opportunities and I took some of those which steered us of the path and lost sight of what I had set out to achieve.
Luckily I have good investors who believed in my new approach and backed me to help realign our purpose. Welcome to Stryve. A new vision, name & platform. For tech enthusiasts to share, learn & progress their skills & career. Built on the strength of community and inspired by IH & others.
Welcome any feedback

User growth is by far the best we've had since starting, engagement is improving day on day. We haven't stopped. We've fixed 100's of small bugs, changed UX flows and made onboarding easier, and still a 1000 things to go.
Since launching a few weeks ago we've had 87 content posts, with 49 comments on those posts. Be fantastic to hit 100 posts by the end of the month.

We were invited into PHS to demo our new platform. After showing our new privacy-focused user-centric talent platform they joined as a customer. This gives us further validation that we're barking up the right tree. :) They are a little bigger than our normal target customer but they will be using our platform to find tech. creative, and digital talent. Big brand name.

This has been purely organic from people following our product growth. The community is made up of tech, creative, and digital talent that want a transparent & privacy-focused way of looking for new roles. No recruitment agencies, just people and businesses connecting directly.

We got our first customer after launching our new SaaS model. After speaking with customers over a period of 6 months we got the product to market product fit. We still have some more to go but enough to convince them to pay. This is really exciting and hopefully, the growth will continue.
