Build your next Rails app in a fraction of the time
The first DinoSaaS app template was published on the Creative Tim blog! Here's the article.
The Argon App Template is a Rails app with an integrated bootstrap dashboard theme from Creative Tim (no relation 😂), plus all the configuration and integrations you need to get up and running with a new app quickly.
This is my first backlink, and hopefully the beginning of a repeatable strategy for acquiring more.
Hey IH!
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm Tim Jones - the maker behind DinoSaaS.
After a few brain surgeries and a global pandemic, I recently left my job as a Product Manager in San Francisco. I'm currently living in Pennsylvania, USA. My goal is to build a bootstrapped business while traveling the world (post-vaccine 🤞).
I began by hacking around on a few ideas. I have an engineering background but I'm not a designer. So when I discovered some amazing Bootstrap themes - with huge libraries of pages and components - I got excited.
These themes, when integrated with Rails, would allow a solo founder like me to blow people away with amazing, professionally-designed products.
But I couldn't find any good Rails + Bootstrap Theme tutorials. So I decided to make one.
Not just a blog post - but an ecosystem of content with the goal of making it easier than ever to build a SaaS app with Ruby on Rails:
-- More open-source Starter Apps - Bootstrap themes integrated with the Rails Asset Pipeline.
-- Individual components to mix-and-match with Starter Apps.
-- Step-by-step tutorials on the nuts and bolts of building a SaaS app - user registration and authentication, emails, Stripe billing, etc.
Argon is my first Starter App - https://www.dinosaas.com/articles/starter-app-1-argon.
I'd love to hear from all of you - what's hard, time-consuming, or frustrating about building a web app? What kinds of content would you like to see?
