[Discontinued] Tabula

We finished the MVP after a few months. Alex repeatedly had to collect more and more data by taking photos of estate agent boards to prevent our models from overfitting. We also finished the iOS app that ran the model in real-time in the video camera, so the user could just point the camera at the estate agent board and have it link to their website.

Unfortunately we couldn't drum up enough interest in the project so we stopped working on it. In the future we would need to validate the idea better, and also improve our efforts with marketing and with our landing page, as I felt it was subpar. On to the next idea

Me and Alex came up with the idea, then scoped out the work needed to make a MVP. I asked him to collect a dataset, and then I got to work on writing the AI pipeline needed to train a classifier to detect real-estate agent boards.

I also then started to work on the iOS app needed to demo the model.
