Discord Update Unstucker
Discord got stuck. Again. Download it, open it, click one b
Every few months, Discord gets stuck updating on my Mac.
The funny part is… I already knew how to fix it.
I even had a shell script somewhere on my computer.
But every single time it happened, I’d forget where I put it. I’d end up searching Google again, opening the same Reddit threads, finding the same Stack Overflow answers, opening Terminal, copying commands, hoping they were still correct…
It was the exact same ritual every time.
Eventually I asked myself:
“Why am I doing this manually?”
So I wrapped the fix into a tiny app.
Open it.
Click one button.
Discord works again.
No Terminal.
No digging through ~/Library.
No copying commands from random websites.
Discord Update Unstucker doesn’t do anything magical—it simply automates the fix many of us have already performed by hand. The goal isn’t to be clever; it’s to save a few minutes of frustration every time Discord decides it doesn’t want to start.
Sometimes the best software isn’t something new.
Sometimes it’s just turning a script you keep Googling into an app you’ll never have to think about again.

I like the idea of turning a recurring fix into something people never have to think about again.
Have you found other "I always end up Googling this" problems that seem to follow the same pattern, or does Discord stand out as uniquely worth solving?
