It’s a fast-growing town, but our local search results aren't very good.
Small business owners here are invisible unless they pay extortionate ads to Yelp or Google. Meanwhile, residents get served SEO-spam results for companies that aren't even local.
So, I decided to build the solution myself.
Discover Anna is a programmatic, verified marketplace connecting residents with local pros.
The Goal: Prove that a "boring," hyper-local directory can be profitable and provide more value than a trillion-dollar algorithm.
The Model: Freemium listings + Lead Gen credits (Thumbtack style, but fair).
I’m bootstrapping this as a solo founder. I'll be sharing my revenue numbers and lessons learned here as I go.
