Find amazing places to dive and people to dive with...
We need to link to Instagram...great we have a nice product but who the hell is going to use it when they don't know about it...let users share their trips to instagram, and connect their accounts to us so they can share their pics in our app!! SImpler said than done Instagram API needs understanding!!
This is really hard, you have to setup a lot of stuff on the server with apple and have an HTTPS server secured ....then in the app parse the links and make sure you redirect the user to the right point!!! Of course they need the app on their phone so 80000000000 android users can't use it, shit.... don't forget android!
So Important to allow apps to share informtation to people, and then encourage the people who don't have that app to download it or see it on the web, deep linking seemed like an impossibly complex topic at first. However as with everything it seems possible and do able, so I done it!
Meeting new people every day at the google campus in Madrid really makes me realised the value of what google have created here. Today I met two guys who influenced me to join Indie Hackers and to blog about my app...so important to talk about what you are doing with people, LISTEN TO THEM, and then act on it.
Today I decided I DEFINITELY NEED it to be cross platform and on the web so hopefully that is the next goal. It is a community thing so I have go to allow as many people as possible to acccess the information and sharing of experiences... still it is a lot of work to do.
So now, after almost a year and half of developing DiveSpot, it is nearing completion...but i need beta testers to break and tell me what you like or not...can anyone help?
