DocsAutomator

I launched DocsAutomator (https://docsautomator.co/) on February 1, 2023 and reached 100 users after 45 days. DocsAutomator turns Airtable data into PDFs using Google Docs.

I'm scratching my own itch with the product after having been dissatisfied with existing solutions for years. My hypothesis is: Why not use Google Docs, the tool many use and know already, to create professional documents from data?

Here's how I got my first 100 users ranked by relevance (most relevant on top):

• Ads with a budget of 15€ a day for very specific key words (getting help from an expert here)
• Activated the No-Code and Airtable community on Twitter (though I don't have great reach on Twitter yet)
• Reached out personally to No-Code experts and consultants
• Posted on the Airtable community forum in relevant articles
• Posted on Reddit in relevant threads
• Onboarded my own clients

Here are my key learnings (some of them super obvious, most relevant on top):

1. SPEAK TO YOUR USERS / CUSTOMERS
2. Involve community
3. Build an MDP (minimum delightful product) rather than an MVP
4. User activation is just as important as user acquisition
5. Do some Marketing every day
