DocuVerse

DocuVerse did a small launch on Product Hunt to test the market. We have had a pretty steady stream of traffic from that launch. This is where our first customers came from.

Our first version of DocuVerse was pretty rudimentary. It let you import an image and had some basic tagging with OCR. We loved it! This, however, was far from the product we were envisioning.

While working for a large transportation company I was managing 3 major document management systems and 5+ image repositories across 5 divisions. None of the systems did the entire job. None did any particular task better than the other. To top it off they were all written with old antiquated user interfaces and old infrastructure paradigms. Everything was written very monolithically with a large variety of fail points. I finally decided that with some help I could come up with a better solution. I enlisted the help of Derrick to start building a product that would fill all or most of the needs of a modern document management system.
