Link Building at Scale
I've never been a great designer and our last website showed that fact more than I liked. So we developed a new one using the guys from manypixels.co for the design and a freelance developer for some CSS customization.
Always happy to hear feedback so please get in touch if you think we could improve the site somehow :)

After only treating it as a part time gig for over a year we decided to go full time and really focus on the agency. We were barely making $5000 MRR at that point and since we had to split our profit between 2 founders this was not nearly enough to cover our costs of living.

We had our best month at $8000 and could finally pay ourselves a decent salary. Although we never got that high again in 2018 it gave us a goal to strive for.
To be honest...at this point we just didn't think enough about how to select clients, which channels to use and how to price our service correctly.

After doing link building for my own websites and offering the service as a freelancer to clients Eric and I decided to pool our resources and launch dofollow.io as a boutique link building service using a semi-productised service model.
We were profitable from day 1 since we managed to get clients through our existing network.

We wanted to build a service we knew we could deliver at a very high quality while retaining a certain level of freedom and flexibility. So we built dofollow.io into a fully remote premium service agency.
