DogsWelcome

So I once built Dogswelcome.in from my own pain: I don't know where to bring my dog. I spend 30 euros on ads and now I have 280 followers and 90 cities added in 7 countries. Yes, out of the 30 in Amsterdam 20 are mine. The rest? Organic.

I spend all my hours on Rate My Meeting, little growth. And in the mean time Dogs Welcome 'just' grows.

I might be committing myself to the wrong initiative 😅

Okay, by 'we' I mean 'I', but the website has gone multilingual. And that allowed me to ask a friend outside of The Netherlands to add a dog welcoming place in the US. So surely enough, now we also list Austin, SF and Portland.

At least the language shouldn't be a barrier anymore...

So here I went: I created a Facebook campaign, targeted at dog lovers in the Netherlands. And sure enough: within a week I got 250 likes for the DogsWelcome page. And better yet, these users actually added over 60 different venues all around the country.

I think this is what I call validation.

Now if only I could make some money off it...
