Mobile-first uptime monitoring with alerts

May 15, 2026 Ship Faster, Sleep Better: Monitoring Your Domains Before Users Notice

I shipped Domain Monitor, a mobile-first uptime monitoring app for indie hackers and small teams. The original itch was simple: I wanted to know when my sites were down without logging into a heavy dashboard or configuring a full observability stack.
Most uptime tools are powerful, but they often feel built for teams sitting at desktops. I wanted something closer to a status app in your pocket: add a domain, see if it’s up, get a push notification when it goes down, and only open the technical details when you actually need them. It took more work than I expected — especially around cloud checks, mobile subscriptions, App Store / Play Store release flows, and making the app feel fast enough to trust.
The product is now live on iOS and Android. Free users can monitor lightly, and Pro unlocks cloud monitoring, push alerts, and more targets.
I’d love feedback from other indie builders: do you currently monitor your projects? And would a mobile-first uptime monitor fit your workflow?

About

Uptime monitoring is still too complicated for small website owners. I'm building a simpler, mobile-first alternative for indie makers and freelancers who just want to know: is my site up, is it slow, should I care?
