Done Dave
Free, super fast & easy website builder
Done Dave has just had an awesome review on The Web App Market Website. Check it out here: https://thewebappmarket.com/done-dave-review/
I’m constantly learning that persistent promoting of Done Dave is very, very slowly paying off. We’re now getting more organic traffic to the site which is crucial for the longevity of the product.
Done Dave is featured in the Colchester (Essex, UK) Gazette today. OK, it's very local, but great Oak trees are grown from small acorns!
I'll keep pushing on and promoting it locally and gradually getting the name out there one day at a time.

We now have 500 users on Done Dave. Starting to get some traction now with a steady flow of 10-15 new users per day.
I good friend of mine, Nick Holmes à Court, said you're now in what's called The Struggle. The Struggle is promoting your site with next to zero budget.
Most people give up as this can take months and even years of pain staking blogging, submitting your site to start up websites and persevering with this process day in day out.
I'll keep going as people are loving Done Dave and the service it provides. It's just a slow process creating the awareness of it.
Today we have reached 400 users. Over the last week we have 105 users which is fantastic progress.
It's a slow burner but going in the right direction and everyone that is using Done Dave is really pleased.
the next phase is to educate people that Done Dave is not a design tool, but more of a means to get you a website incredibly fast because you are so busy and just don't have the head space for taking ages getting a website. It's a brilliant stop gap if you like between starting your business and then when you have enough revenue and time you can upgrade from a Done Dave website to something more complex or comprehensive.
Saying that, for thousands of small businesses and freelancers it maybe perfect to use forever.
Today I launched Done Dave on Product Hunt.
Incredible results. I've had 250 visitors to https://donedave.com and 33 new sign ups. Whereas we have been averaging 4 sign ups a day. So I'm really pleased about this.
Here is Done Dave on Product Hunt, feel free to take a look and if you like it please upvote it!
Thank you Product Hunt and all its members.
I’ve been spreading the word on Facebook. I’ve learned that people absolutely love Done Dave, which is incredibly humbling. I’ve never really had confidence in it until now. There is a genuine need for this product which is exciting for me personally.
Please take a look... there’s a buzz about Done Dave at last: https://donedave.com
Whoop! We have lift off! Done Dave is officially launched. Wow what a journey it has been over the last 7 years. Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me in this venture.
There has been many ups and downs along the way, but I hope we're there now with a solid MVP. Here's where we are now:
- Done Dave is 100% free
- It's ridiculously fast and easy to use
- It's positioned as a service that is helpful, free and fun like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter etc.
- It's perfect for freelancers and sole traders who are so busy running their businesses and usually have little money to spend on a website.
- It's possible to get your website live with Done Dave in your lunch break
I'd really appreciate anyone's feedback. Please give it a go everyone:
I've now designed and created in Adobe Animate a 30 second advert for social media advertising.
I wanted something punchy and to the point which relates to people. Check it out here everyone, I'd love your feedback please:
Completed a basic 'How To' video for Done Dave. This is embedded on the home page: https://donedave.com
I've also started creating some advertising material videos and added those to the Done Dave YouTube Channel, have a look here:
Done Dave has been a bit quiet over the last 4 months while we built the new features on the home page. But that's all done now.
After serious consideration from receiving feedback I've decided to add a brand new template. A CV template perfect for graduates and professionals looking to move up the career ladder.
The key here is that this is free as most online CV tools come with a cost.
