Hi Indie Hackers community!
I’m a software engineer and a solo founder. Recently, I found myself trapped in a vicious cycle.
As a builder trying to ship products, high pressure and anxiety often hit hard. My brain’s instinctive reaction was to seek destructive, short-term gratifications—doom-scrolling, tech addictions, and chasing cheap dopamine. Every time I slipped, it meant drained financial resources, lost focus, shattered self-confidence, and deeper anxiety.
I was losing the battle against my own brain, and it was threatening to ruin my business and my life.
I tried existing distraction blockers, but they were either too easy to bypass or just didn't work for deep psychological urges. So, I decided to build my own circuit breaker.
I shipped the MVP of DopamineShield (https://www.dopamineshield.xyz/). It’s designed to be a strict, un-bypassable shield for creators and builders to protect their mental energy, break the cycle of self-sabotage, and reclaim deep work.
I didn't build this to ride a trend; I built it as a desperate measure for self-salvation.
Since I am just starting out with this product, I would deeply appreciate any feedback on the landing page, the concept, or how to reach folks who are struggling with similar internal battles.
Let's protect our focus and build things that matter. Thanks for reading!

The thing I'd be careful with is that the product sounds like it was built from a very specific pain, but the landing-page language starts drifting into several different problems.
Focus, deep work, self-sabotage, addiction, distraction, and productivity are related, but they're not the same buying decision.
The risk is not that people disagree with the problem. The risk is that different people see a different product.
I wouldn't make the actual positioning call casually in-thread because that decision ends up shaping the buyer, message, and growth path more than most founders expect.
