Advisory platform supporting the knowledge community
Just over 3 months have passed since we brought on board a part time CTO and new development team. The progress we've made has been incredible. Everything has been built from scratch, learnings applied and we have 2x the features, 6x the code and a much stronger product
We're energized as we take our first check and look to close the year out with a live product for our 200+ waiting customers
After 10 weeks of further investment and rebuilding we realize that the issue goes beyond the product and we make the very difficult decision to find a new development partner
We hire a part time CTO and look at our venture with fresh eyes. We feel like we're almost starting over but make the decision to lean further in

A little late and slightly over budget we go live with our MVP. We have 50 customers ready to go, 5M social follows ready to be reached and we get 1 phone call on our first day....
It turns out that our MVP wasn't really a VP at all. We see where the problems are and they're not easily fixed. But we learn as much as we can within the MVP window and head back to the product drawing board

This was the first day that Victor and I work from home due to Covid-19. We assume it won't last long and we'll back in the office in a matter of weeks, 3 months max.
We realize that we need to decide whether to treat Covid-19 as a threat, or as an opportunity. We decide on the latter, embrace the new normal and roll our sleeves up

After 8 weeks of analysis and customer research Victor and I decide to work full time on our new venture. We commit to fund it ourselves and find the development team to build us our MVP. We assumed that this would be the most monumental moment of our year... [insert joke about a global pandemic[

It was 4 weeks after leaving Ticketmaster that I met old my friend Victor for a coffee. He had a problem that needed solving. A friend of his (well known, well respected and hugely knowledgable actor) was having financial difficulties. Victor felt that there had to be a way for them to use their knowledge and following to create a sustainable revenue stream for themselves
And so it began...

For a long time I have had an idea of a platform that would allow people with expertise to earn for their time. Their knowledge is valuable and enabling them to unlock that value is why we built Dosen
