Software Engineer Jobs
Get new software engineer jobs in your inbox every day.
In October Dotnet Remote hit $200 MRR. This was after 3 months of marketing and development.
October marked the 2nd month in a row a company paid to post a job. I also built my subscriber base to over 300 emails. It felt great to watch Dotnet Remote grow over those 3 months.
These signups and job postings came from 2 places...
- Marketing on Reddit and other communities where .NET devs hang out.
- SEO. I was starting to rank for long tail keywords, like remote dotnet jobs, remote dotnet jobs in London, etc…
As I kept marketing Dotnet Remote, I noticed other "enterprise" languages, like Java and C++ had the same problem.
So I decided to go against the grain of the standard Indie Hacker advice. I niched up. Dotnet Remote is now software-engineer-jobs.com. This allows me to do a couple of things:
- Help more software engineers find remote work
- More relevant places to promote the product
- More jobs postings on the site
- More SEO opportunities
I’ll be hard at work the next week building a system to quickly add more jobs to the site.
Purpose
The world is full of .NET developers.
But there are very few products for your average .NET developer. Most products in this niche are focused on enterprises, which makes sense.
The goal of Dotnet Remote is to deliver 1 new remote .NET job to subscribers' inboxes every day. That's it.
