DotnetDevs
The reverse job board for .NET developers
Hey folks! Time for DotnetDevs 1-month update.
What is DotnetDevs? It’s a reverse job board exclusively for .NET developers. You post your profile and companies reach out to you. There is also a traditional job board companies can post job openings.
Since launching 1 month ago…
✉️ 520+ developers subscribed to the job board emails
👨💻️ 104 developer profiles created from 36 different countries
💼 27 job openings posted
🌐 2.6k unique visitors to the website
⭐️ 17 Github stars (yes it's open source!)
What is next?
I'm considering adding some community features to the site, like a blog and forum for .NET developers. This will help with traffic to the site and signups. I'm also constantly working at onboarding companies to the site who want to hire.
Hi, I'm Wes 👋 I'm building DotnetDevs to make it easier for .NET developers to find their next gig.
DotnetDevs is built around a couple core values:
- Empowering developers
- Developers & companies communicate directly
- Doing everything in public
Empowering developers
Finding work as a developer can be overwhelming and stressful. The responsibility of work is almost all on the developer. Scouring job boards, writing cover letters, and filling out application after application.
DotnetDevs goal is to give power back to developers. Instead of companies posting thier jobs, developers post thier profiles. This way the power dynamic is reversed as companies have to reach out to you first.
Developers & companies communicate directly
DotnetDevs allows companies to reach out directly to the developer. This flips the traditional job board model on it's head. Companies can pick developers they want and developers don't have to spend time applying to jobs they may never get.
Doing everything in public
DotnetDevs is a Open Startup and is open source. This means it operates in full transparency and shares it's revenue and traffic metrics.
- Source code
- Public analytics
- Revenue & Expenses
I also build in public. This means I share my decisions and build new features for everyone to see. You can follow along with my progress on Twitter.
