March 3, 2020 Experimented with pricing and made $1000+ revenue

Earlier in February, I left my day job to become fully independent (You can read more about it in the blog post). I have some savings and side income from two of my Google add-ons. Earnings from the add-ons were a lot less.
It was just $663 in January. But, Drive Explorer alone made $1317 in February.

What did I do to improve the revenue?

  • As suggested by @anakravitz in this thread, I started experimenting with the prices. I increased the price and it just worked.
  • I introduced monthly plans which I didn't have before.

I hope that March will be as good as February 🤞.

Awesome read, thanks! Curious, how did you grow awareness for your chrome extensions?

Thanks Maxim. I didn't do anything to promote the add-ons till January 2020. In January 2020, I launched both of the add-ons on PH. It didn't go that well and didn't bring any paid users. That's all the promotion I have done so far. I got almost all of the paying users organically. I have a relevant blog post and a web page with a link to the add-on which are doing well on SERPs, that's all.

Thank you. Yeah now, I've started to offer both.

February 13, 2019 Launched the premium version of the add-on

When I launched it initially, it was free to use. Later I wanted to see if people pay for it. I limited the features of the free version and released the premium version with all functionalities. The existing free users started paying for it from the first day itself.
