Driverr
SaaS for professional drivers.
They say the best way to come up with a business idea is to scratch your own itch. Well, I guess I haven't been that itchy lately... but, after hearing my Dad call out some struggles he was having with his driving business, it dawned on me that these were all solvable problems. This was the next best thing to scratching my own itch because I care about the problem and even more, I care about who I'm solving it for.
I'm a designer by trade, so the first thing I did was to start asking a lot of questions (research). Luckily, my Dad is my target user. Then I started wireframing and after a few days, came up with a design prototype. My next task is to build an MVP and get it in front of more users.
I'm not technical so I'll need some help with the build. Currently on the lookout for a technical co-founder. I'd rather not hire but we'll see how my search for a technical partner goes.

This is actually one of my favorite ways startup ideas happen. You may not be solving your own problem directly, but you're solving a problem for someone you understand deeply, which is almost as valuable.
The fact that your dad is both the inspiration and your first user gives you a huge advantage. You can validate assumptions, get constant feedback, and iterate much faster than founders who are guessing what users want.
One thing I'd be careful about is spending too much time searching for a technical co-founder before validating demand. Sometimes it's faster to build a simple MVP, get real user feedback, and prove there's a business there first.
That's why foundersbar.com offers fixed-cost MVP development for non-technical founders. It helps bridge the gap between idea and validation without waiting months to find the perfect technical partner.
Keep talking to users. The more conversations you have, the clearer the product will become.
It's a really nice idea!
Thanks :)
