Launched on HN and Product Hunt [FAIL]

I was very excited for today. Created all the assets and logos needed for the launches just before adding the submissions.

Felt there was much potential in the product but I didn't listen to some opinions my friends gave me for example about allowing trials.

The launch was a flop. I scheduled it for 8 AM my time, which is a reasonable hour for me to be available to solve problems, and it turned out to be 12 AM in PST which is when a new Product Hunt Day starts. The product was scheduled and went live, but for some reason it didn't show in Today's products for at least 1 hour and a half. It was forgotten in the bottom, and despite getting a good amount of upvotes (59 as I write this) I was hoping for a lot more visits.

Everything was tracked, I can see exactly how many people viewed each page and how many registered on the site. Unfortunetely no one actually subscribed.

The launch on HN was even worse. I submited a post under a new account on Show HN and it was instantaneously dead. The post was taken down for self promotion obviously. I resubmitted it on my main account which as a little bit more karma, but it didn't even manage to reach the /show page.

There are many failures here to learn from. The pricing being in Euro instead of Dollar had an impact (I will actualy run an experiment on this for the future), not having a trial which doesn't allow the user to experiment with.

Dual Kind will still live on and as I will continue with updates. Maybe some day someone will find it interesting and actually use it.
