Dunlo

Stripe payment recovery that reads the failure reason first.

June 1, 2026 Show IH: I built Dunlo after losing my first SaaS to silent payment failures - beta is free

Hey IH,

I built Dunlo because failed Stripe payments are a weird kind of churn:

The customer did not leave.
The product did not fail.
The pricing was not wrong.

A card failed, the recovery flow was generic, and the customer quietly disappeared.

Dunlo watches failed Stripe payments, identifies the reason, and runs the right recovery workflow instead of treating every failure the same.

Expired card should not get the same message as insufficient funds.
A $29/mo account should not trigger the same response as a $900/mo account.
A high-value account should probably get a personal founder email, not just an automated dunning email.

Important caveat: this is day zero.

No fake numbers:

  • 0 customers recovered

  • 0 recovery rate

  • 0 case studies

I am looking for the first 5 Stripe SaaS founders to beta test it with real failed invoices.

Beta is free.

Would love feedback from anyone who has dealt with failed-payment churn.

This is a strong SaaS wedge because failed-payment churn is one of those problems that feels small until founders realize it is not really churn at all. The customer still wanted the product, but the payment failure created enough friction for the account to disappear.

The sharper angle here is segmentation. Treating an expired card, insufficient funds, a low-MRR account, and a high-value account the same way is exactly where generic dunning flows feel too blunt.

One thing I would pressure-test early is the brand frame. Dunlo is short and workable, but if this becomes a serious revenue recovery layer for Stripe SaaS founders, the name may need to carry more trust and financial seriousness before customers, docs, and recovery workflows lock in around it.

Beryxa .com would fit that direction well because it feels more like a clean SaaS/revenue intelligence brand, while still leaving room for failed-payment recovery, account scoring, workflow routing, and broader subscription retention.

Lost my first SaaS mostly because of failed payment. I built Dunlo so that never happens to another founder.
