Duplicate Word Finder
Find and eliminate duplicate words in your writings & emails
The year started slow, but on March the site hit a new record: more than 22k unique visitors for the month. Here are the numbers:
March
- 22 069 visitors
- 52 485 views
February
- 21 348 visitors
- 49 268 views
January
- 19 171 visitors
- 44 105 views
It's not surprising to see the biggest dip in December when a lot of holidays happen. I'm expecting traffic to get back up in January.
Numbers for December:
- 18.4k unique visitors
- 39.7k page views
Numbers for 2023:
- 182,466 unique visitors
- 345,746 page views

Hi, looks good. Can you tell me if this does something that something like Grammarly does not? Google "Grammarly overused words" seems to come up with something similar.

Hi, I'm not sure about the Grammarly feature, Duplicate word Finder only lists and highlights the words that are repeating within a text.

Growth stalled for the first time, this month there were around 700 fewer unique visitors than last month. The main reason is that holiday season started:
- November 1 is All Saints Day, that is a holiday in many European countries
- November 23 was Thanksgiving, a holiday in the US
Numbers:
- 21k unique visitors
- above 1000 unique visitors on 18 individual days

Didn't expect this amount, but Duplicate Word Finder is still growing. We'll see if it keeps up until the end of the year. (Well, actually December should dip due to the holidays)
Numbers:
- 21.7k unique visitors
- above 1000 unique visitors on 15 individual days, that's half the month!

Steady growth again. I added Duplicate Word Finder to a couple more sites this month. It might have bumped the traffic, or maybe it's the start of the school season.
Numbers:
- 19.4K unique visitors
- above 1000 unique visitors on some of the last weekdays
It's still some growth from previous month, although it seems to be slowing down. It would be a good goal to reach a thousand visitors daily. The good part is that I still don't do much on marketing front, it's mostly organic.
Numbers:
- 17.3K unique visitors
- above 800 unique visitors per weekday on average

Yearly analytics finally shows a six digit number. The launch was on 20 January, so actually it only took 7 months and around 10 days to get there. One little detail though is that a third of the users visited in February when the site was going viral on r/InternetIsBeautiful. Nevertheless, a 100k is a 100k.

Hey! It’s a nice achievement! Can you tell us the secret how it happened? Did you use some growth tricks, ads?

Thanks! Well, I think the gist is that I looked for various forums and posted the link to the tool there. Also, it's super easy to use, works on phone, tablet, desktop, has dark/light modes, is very small in size.

It's hard to keep track of the traffic boosters but it's not a complaint, the more the better. One thing I caught is a tweet with a good amount of reactions. It's actually in Arabic which is a right-to-left script. I made an effort so that the tool can handle RTL scripts as well and it seems it paid off:

Numbers:
- 16.1K unique visitors
- 800 unique visitors on weekdays
It seems the norm has become around or above 800 visitors on a weekday.

Two things happened regarding traffic that were not expected during this month:
- Someone with 200k followers shared Duplicate Word Finder on Twitter, that resulted in about 350 visits to my site: https://twitter.com/Gauyo/status/1670158851994271744
- Then someone shared it on LinkedIn, which resulted in about 1.5k visits to my site: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/anielly-bittencourt_dica-redacao-aplicativos-activity-7079105196773060608-vpyp/
So analytics for this month is a bit skewed but in a good way. Here it is:
- 13.5K unique visitors
- Peak daily unique visitors were above 600 (not counting the days where when the above two things happened)
In the end growth is growth, and I'll take what I get.

Something like this can be amazing for engagement - especially when it's organic. Congrats! Couple questions:
- Are you looking to replicate this success in future?
- How are you capitalising on this at the moment?

Thanks! What do you mean by replicating? Having people post on social media?
I'm not capitalising on it, sometimes people buy a coffee but that's it.
About
I often find myself sending emails and messages consisting of 2-3 sentences. This is where I usually commit an unintentional word repetition, but only realize it after hitting send. This tool comes handy for such cases.
