E-commerce Ranker
Interactive database of the Top 100 Shopify Stores
My most successful launch of anything, ever.
I predicted the tool would have some niche interest in the e-commerce space - but users keep coming in bulk and learning more about their businesses with the website.
Which makes me very glad.
Transparent KPI's:
1. Number of users: 5.311
2. Time spent on website: 03:54 minutes
3. Number of e-mail subscribers: 229 subscribed (over ~450 entered their emails)
Growth channels used so far (ordered by traffic generated):
- 3 Reddit post
- 6 Facebook groups posts
- 1 "Influencer" post on Twitter and Facebook profile
- 3 IndieHackers mentions
- 15 Cold outreach presentations
Growth Channels coming up:
- 1 Product Hunt launch
- 2 Reddit posts
- 2 Partnerships coming (big ones)
- ~4 Facebook group posts
I also picked a leads-focused email capturing strategy, meaning I make an incredibly detailed lead magnet for my target audience (e-commerce owners) instead of a generic one, so I can convert them later.
This accounts for a lower conversion rate on the email capturing front, because I get a lot of traffic from other users, which is fine, but it's worth mentioning.
Overall, I'm looking forward to this new month, because I'm trying a lot of new tactics - which are less about incremental traffic wins and more about exponential traffic victories.
I first presented E-commerce Ranker on this day.
I started by sending it to my newsletter subscribers, and then by personally messaging interested users online.
First impressions were great - average time on the website is 4 minutes and 37 seconds. This is my North Star metric.
