After so much hard work trying to organically rank the kids learning app and working on the feedback, my app finally ranks really well for some high traffic keyword searches.
Organic ranking is truly magic. I started getting 1000 installs per day on the app and it is also Trending at #3 in Education Category on Play Store.
Small win, but I hope more is coming :)
I launched this kids game about 6 months ago and never thought about the monetization bit, but COVID19 hit me hard due to job loss and I had to look for ways to monetize my products.
At this point, I included some ads in the game, but made sure the ads were not intruding into user experience. Also, ensured that the ads are sensitive to the category of users that my app was targetting.
In addition, I also allowed users to remove ads for lifetime by paying a small premium fee of $0.99
Today, I got my first sale and I am really delighted.
I have always focussed on ASO and organic ranking to drive traffic to my game. The app ranks really well for some keywords and it has really good retention as users love it.
This further boosts ASO ranking and hence the installs keep coming.
In addition, I have recently started running some ads on the app to drive additional traffic. The current users are loving the game.
