Early Product Pitfalls
Weekly 2 minute newsletter on tactical product mistakes
Hey Indie Hackers. I'm a product manager by trade and looking to launch my first side project. While the newsletter market is getting crowded, I think I've identified a concept that could resonate with founders. If you're interested in following along, give the project a follow. Since many of you are founders yourselves, I'd love any feedback from this group.
TARGET AUDIENCE
- Startup founders who don't have a ton of prior experience building digital products.
PROBLEM TO SOLVE
- Product development is filled with landmines that can derail founders who already have narrow margin for error.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
- I'm lucky in that I have a background in early stage product management. I started a p2p learning company in this space and worked as a product lead at Reforge (a16z, Insight Partners).
VALUE PROPOSITION
- Get more familiar with sneaky things that can can go wrong.
- Implement tactical best practices with little time investment.
GROWTH CHANNELS
- My initial channels are my personal LinkedIn, a modest Twitter following, and of course, email.
BUSINESS MODEL
- Eventually I'm hoping to launch a paid version of the newsletter.
As next steps, I'm going to get some feedback from a few founders in my network. I went ahead and wrote 4 editions of the newsletter so far. Stay tuned!
About
I'm trying to build an audience of founders and eventually create a paid version of the newsletter.
