After exchanging a few emails I woke up to an email saying I'd received my first paying customer to my "Website plan". It feels good, and I've always liked the idea of making money whilst you sleep :-)

I haven't actually actively marketed the website yet so I feel somewhat relieved that I may be building a product musicians & bands find beneficial and "easy-to-use".

How did it happen?

The customer reached out asking for a discount code. On my pricing page I offer a discount to charities and new musicians/bands if they email me. I thought this would be a good idea to engage in dialog with the customer and give them confidence before signing up. It worked!

Since June 2019 Easy Media Kit sole function was to provide EPKs to new bands and musicians looking to get booked by festivals/promoters etc.

I've now added a premium website subscription where people can upgrade to get their own website. The EPK are still free for all users.

Growth has been gradual and slow. I'm not getting much traffic via SEO but sign ups have come from leaving comments on relevant blogs and word-of-mouth. I think bands that have signed up have told other bands about Easy Media Kit. Onwards and upwards to 500 goal :-)
