Crossed €1k ARR

We added 300 EUR ARR recently and that took us across this very important first line of 1k.

I believe the reason for this upward trend is that we added a step-by-step onboarding to the app and are giving free credits at the end of the process for users to be able to test the paid features. We used to have a free trial with 10,000 credits, but it still required for people to add their credit card. By removing this unnecessary friction, we seem to have made it easier for people to test the AI features and make a decision to purchase.

The current free and paid subscribers are 100% organic as we're not doing any kind of marketing or promotions. This is of course bad, so I'm looking into what can be done to accelerate the process. Tutorials and me personally engaging on Twitter and LinkedIn seem to be the way to go for the momenta.

So far we've tried Facebook Ads (no result), Google Search Ads (had some results, but not great - only free users).

We'll also be doing an end-of-year sale. Any ideas on how to promote it?

Very innovative product. I didn't realise there was a commercial market for such a thing. How did you come up with the idea and is there a plan to create a personal tier?

      Hey👋
Sorry, I missed this earlier 😅

It's still very early to tell what the size of the market is and potentially our biggest struggle is to figure out who exactly the target customer is.

I actually started building this and released one version all the way back in 2016 as a native Mac app. I have a friend with an AI image recognition company and he pointed me to the fact that they have a lot of people asking about personal photos organisation, which is not part of there offering. That's how I got the idea. It did get some traction, but it had a weird pricing policy (upfront payment + subscription after 6 months) and it heavily relied on a rather hacked together way to analyse images from the stock Photos app. At some point my "integration" with it was really not working great anymore due to some policy changes in Apple Photos. And I had to abandon it., as I was focused on other projects.

I did create social accounts and a website and I kept getting a few people a month asking about the product, so once I had enough resources I decided to build a proper app and test the market with it.

Yes, the pricing and the plans is the other variable we need to test with. What do you mean when you say a personal plan?
