After two years of hard work and lots of learning, EditYourAudio has been sold and I wish the best to the new owner.

After having had several contacts from indiehackers, and one letter of intent (but with a price not close enough to our expectations), we decided to move faster and jump on microacquire.
After few days, we have had around 10 requests and already had one letter of intent at a lot better price.
And we just received a mail from microacquire saying we will be featured on their newlestter on the 14th :-)

Well it's been a wild journey from nothing to 4M views and as happy as i've been developing this awesome website, I've moved on to fight disinformation with the french embassy for digital affairs and don't have much time left to focus on this project.

I was able to access it about 3-6 months ago, I think? Who do I contact to cancel this recurring transaction? Shouldn't this have been shut down when the website was sold?

No. The sale included the transfer of all subscriptions. I do not have any access anymore so I'm afraid I cannot help you, sorry.

The guy is still there but the domain is blocked by GoDaddy because of an investigation :-(

Well, first design was made by myself only and was not that good at all.
Thus we worked with a skilled french professional designer named Romain Gregorio https://www.deuxieme-etage.com/

Especially this all grew organically and we did not pay one dime for advertising

After months of tweaking and getting the website to 500,000 visitors per month, we finally decided how to keep the service free and make a fair pricing for heavy users.
First we ran a survey for all users that downloaded more than 3 times a song on https://www.edityouraudio.com
With more than 750 answers now, we realized 5% of those users were using this for a professional activity an thus need unlimited download and priority lane for song processing.
We also had awesome insight on what pricing we should do and that's how we came up with a limited edition of our unlimited plan

And we already sold 4 of them in the first day, which feels like a very good number to us.
We also limited this offer to the first 100 subscribers and will switch to normal prices when we reach that limit!

Yesterday we had a real peak in the use of https://www.edityouraudio.com. This lead to our processor not being able to handle all the requests fast enough, stacking 300 songs to be splitted for karaoke and vocal removing.
As we have our all infrastructure on Google cloud with Kubernetes orchestration, it was very easy to deploy another replica (and then another one!) to make the stack decrease.
This is a quick fix that worked although you need to be aware that if your nodes and clusters are not properly dimensioned, it can lead to forever rebooting pods and very stressful moments.
For this I just added one node for each of my replica and it's working fine, but its is not really optimized. If you are a devOps with experience in clusters/node pools management on Google Cloud, I'd be happy to chat about it with you.
This is a temporary fix, as our next goal is to use a GPU instance for all our AI computation.

Today we hit the big milestone of getting 300 users registered in only one day.
This set our list of users to 6000 users, which is really great
We began to make money while keeping the service free to almost everyone, which is our biggest goal.
We set up 2 freemium features
- Unlimited downloads during 1 week for 3$ (we limited the number of downloads to 3 per day which is quite generous)
- Skip the queue for 1$ (as many users use the free service, the queue can sometimes be of 100 users :-)
This does not make a lot of money yet but this is still something :-)

Alas, it seems you have sold this lovely application to someone very irresponsible, they don't bother to reply to messages even and am in doubt if my subscription is now totally in vain. Anyway, thnx for replying.

I am a subscriber of edityouraudio for a long. Reverting back to the present issue I am able to log in but the software is not working at all and is not even able to fetch my earlier extracted audios and none of the conversions are working neither Youtube links nor the audio uploads. So the system is currently at total default. Please suggest how much time it would take as I am in total halt with my work.
Well sorry about that but I'm not in charge anymore as the website has been sold several months ago.
