Demi-fine anti-tarnish jewellery for everyday wear

March 30, 2026 Why I started Ektaraa (and what I’m learning while building a jewellery brand)

I started Ektaraa after closely observing a gap in the jewellery market.

From personal experience and early customer feedback, most people face the same issue - jewellery is either too expensive to wear daily or too low quality to last. There’s very little in between that balances durability, affordability, and everyday usability.

Ektaraa is built to solve that.

We’re creating a demi-fine jewellery brand using 18K PVD-coated stainless steel, designed to be anti-tarnish, waterproof, and hypoallergenic—so it can actually be worn every day without worrying about fading or skin reactions. Most of our pieces are built to last 2–5 years with regular use.

Beyond materials, the focus is on wearability and identity.

The designs are minimal, timeless, and made to integrate into daily life—whether it’s a ring you never take off or a necklace that becomes part of your routine.

Right now, I’m focused on:
• Building a consistent brand identity
• Testing and improving content that resonates with customers
• Understanding real buying behavior in D2C jewellery

It’s still early, but the process has been a strong learning curve in e-commerce, branding, and consumer psychology.

If you’ve built or are building in D2C, fashion, or e-commerce, I’d value your perspective:
