Dating apps are pretty cr*ppy so we built a better one.
Had the first bit of press, which saw a huge spike in users. Along with a couple more from smaller publications, we saw a huge increase in the waitlists for cities outside of London, and for Android!
After six months and a lockdown, we launched the app in London. After announcing it to all our waitlists, it was so exciting to see people actually using it and matching with each other. It was a fairly polished first version but as a different kind of dating app there was so much to learn from how users were using it.
Had been thinking about how inadequate dating apps were for a while but when I got back into the actual dating pool the first date I had we both ended up being ranting about how bad they were. After that was when I first mapped out an idea for a better one!
