October 25, 2020 We hit $2,613 Gross Revenue in our 2nd month!

Hitting the thousands in our second month from our launch date feels like a huge accomplishment. Much of this came from our daily packages and trial periods.

While I'm happy, our recurring revenue is only reflected in half the amount. Currently feeling the common imposter syndrome that (I hear) many startup founders feel.

I've learned a lot of lessons too - one of them being what hiring the wrong person could cost you. The answer: a lot.

Right now I'm just focusing on what I do best and continue pressing on.

October 23, 2020 Elly's second recurring customer

After a brief chat with the agency owner, they decided to purchase a recurring package (part-time, 2hr/day for $399) from the get-go. My goal since launch has been to have at least 1 recurring client sign up every month -- so far so good!

Both recurring clients have come back to Elly and wanted to hire another VA with different skills.

I've started looking into implementing "Specialty VAs" - virtual assistants with specialized skills like content writing, graphic design, web development etc.

Our team is now 7 strong (including me) - we're entering into our 3rd month since launch growing at a very fast rate. Hoping this will keep up!

September 25, 2020 Elly's first recurring customer

After a 1-week trial, the client decided to take our 6hr/day recurring package priced at $799! I couldn't be more thrilled -- they've been working with us for 2 months now (I posted this update in Nov.) and can't see themselves without their dedicated VA.

Lesson: It really pays off hiring the right people. It's costly and takes up a lot of time, but absolutely worth it in the long run.

At the moment I am building/writing SOPs and processes so I'll be able to outsource hiring and onboarding. Exciting progress so far!

September 2, 2020 Official Launch for Elly!

Elly officially launched today! I've been announcing this in various networking groups and asking for feedback from different people. After posting in one group, I had 8 people looking at my site simultaneously (and none were my friends or family members)!

Right before our launch, we onboarded a client who will be doing a 1-week trial with us at $199! I'm hoping this will lead to a recurring long-term plan.

It's been an exciting week, albeit stressful, since I've been recovering from COVID the last 2 and half weeks.

April 26, 2020 Rebranded my original idea

Sometime in March/April I came up with the idea for AmazingVA and did a sort of trial launch for validation.

I discovered 2 things:

  1. The business idea was definitely valid and in-demand.
  2. I had to make my service clearer and refine the processes.

It took me months, but I did just that.
