June 29, 2026 Built a cold email tool where you keep your own sending reputation. Solo founder, still figuring out distribution.

I built EmailQo because of a problem I kept hitting with the cold email tools I used before. My sender reputation lived inside someone else's shared infrastructure. If another customer on the same platform got flagged for spam, my deliverability took the hit too, and I had no way to see it coming or fix it.

So I built something that connects to your own Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, or AWS SES account and sends through it directly. Your reputation is yours, not shared with other users. It handles sequencing, warmup, and pre-send checks (SPF, DKIM, DMARC validation, spam trigger scanning, blacklist monitoring) on top of infrastructure you control.

I built and run this completely solo. Product, code, support, marketing, all of it. [If accurate: no funding, bootstrapped from day one.]

The part I haven't figured out: getting people to find it.

I can build the product. Getting it in front of the people who need it is a different problem, and I'm still early on that part. My domain authority is low and organic search traffic is close to nothing right now. Most of what I get is direct or referral, not search.

I know the standard playbook: content, backlinks, comparison pages, free tools that earn links. I'm working through it. But I'd rather hear from people who've actually been through the early months for a dev-adjacent tool with a small budget and no existing audience than guess my way through it on my own.

If you've done this: what actually worked for you in the first few months? Not the generic checklist, the one or two things that genuinely moved something when nobody knew you existed yet.

EmailQo if you want to see what I'm building.

One thing that stood out is that your biggest differentiation isn't really the sequencing or warmup—it's ownership. Letting customers keep control of their own sending reputation changes the trust model completely. On the distribution side, I'd lean into that distinction rather than competing as another cold email platform, because that's the part that's genuinely hard to copy.

March 27, 2026 I built a cold email tool after getting frustrated with paying $97/month for shared infrastructure I couldn't control

Six months ago I was looking for a cold email tool and kept running into the same problem. Every tool puts you on shared infrastructure. Your sender reputation sits in a pool with thousands of other senders and when someone else's campaign tanks the IP you're on your deliverability drops and you have no idea why.

So I built EmailQo. It routes through your own AWS SES account so your reputation is completely isolated. Warmup is built in. It checks every email before it goes out for spam triggers, blacklists and DNS issues. Replies get auto classified as interested, not interested or out of office and follow ups stop the moment someone replies.

Currently in early access. First 20 users get 60 days of the full plan free. No card needed.

The honest part: the product is still early. There will be rough edges. That is exactly why I am posting here rather than running ads. I want real users who will tell me what is broken.

If you run cold email outreach and want to test it: emailqo.com

Happy to answer any questions about how it works or why I built it this way.

About

Tired of shared infrastructure killing deliverability without any control over it, so I built EmailQo to give senders complete ownership of their own sending reputation.
