The first version was very rudimentary, it would auto complete the emojis without showing any visual aid or suggestion, than I shared with a couple of friends and they loved it, so I continued developing it.

One day I was texting with my GF on FB messenger and we ended up typing : joy : and : heart : several times thinking we where on slack so she said, wouldn't it be cool if we could have emojis here just like on Slack? and that started it 😂

I love the way slack/discord/whatzapp have emoji auto complete with : following the emoji name, and I'd love to have that anywhere on the internet.
There are a bunch of chrome extensions that give you keyboards and the opportunity to copy and pasting emojis to anywhere.
The thing is that I wanted the same experience as in Slack, and that is auto complete right on the text field.
