Emoji Keyboard
Free Emoji Search, Copy, and Combination Tool
I recently launched Emoji Keyboard, a free browser-based tool for searching, copying, and combining emojis.
I built it because many existing emoji websites make a simple task feel unnecessarily cluttered. I wanted the interface to feel familiar so users could immediately find the emoji they needed without creating an account or installing anything.
The tool currently includes:
More than 1,900 searchable emojis
Nine organized categories
Skin-tone selection
An emoji composer for creating combinations
Recently used emojis
Saved favorites
One-click copying
Local browser storage for preferences
One feature users have already noticed is the skin-tone picker. Select a preferred tone once, and supported people and hand emojis update automatically.
The website is built with Next.js and TypeScript and is statically deployed through Cloudflare Pages. Most features run entirely in the browser.
I’m now collecting feedback about possible additions, including saved emoji collections and phrase-based combination suggestions such as “happy cat” or “birthday party.”
You can try it here:
I’d appreciate any feedback about the interface, missing features, or anything that feels confusing.
About
I built Emoji Keyboard because existing emoji websites often feel cluttered. It offers a fast, familiar way to search, copy, combine, and save emojis, choose skin tones, and reuse favorites.

The interesting opportunity isn't helping people find emojis faster—it's reducing the friction of expressing something visually without interrupting what they're doing. I'd keep validating which situations make people leave their current app to search for emojis. That use case is likely more valuable than adding more features.
