We all compete with others but competing with ourselves is the most important thing in life because that prevents us from being complacent and helps us to be better.
It was over three years back when I had moved away from a long career in Information Technology sector to dive into the unknown waters of Recruitment Consulting by founding ReachExt K.K. in Japan, helping companies to find information technology talent.
The fact that we did not know Anything about running a recruitment agency, and its business did not cast any shadows of doubts in my and my co-founder Naoko's minds. We were as confident as an innocent child.
After diving into those unknown waters, there were a few months (and yes, soon after that COVID) when we faced challenges - but never considered those as problems. We kept on growing with passion and confidence - and soon, our two people's team grew to 11 members and is continuously growing. We got some of the best names and brands as our clients.
Then the idea of competing with our own business struck my mind to have a platform where companies can also recruit at much lower costs and can also get more reach to talent and get more branding.
I am happy to share that after 14 months of effort, we formally launched EJable.com. EJ is one of the fastest growing Japan Job Boards, connecting companies in Japan with English-speaking tech talent and employers worldwide with Japanese-speaking professionals in their respective countries.
EJ bridges hiring companies and job seekers with the following combination:
- Employers in Japan looking to hire English-speaking tech talent
- Employers outside Japan looking to hire Japanese-speaking employees
EJ is not just a job board but offers an ever-expanding knowledge base for Information Technology (https://www.ejable.com/category/tech-corner/) and also content to help foreigners with the various aspects of their life in Japan – https://www.ejable.com/category/japan-corner/
After three months of launch, we achieved monthly footprints of 10,000 visitors and now putting in our best efforts to reach 50,000 a month.
We are also looking for revenue-sharing partners in other countries while looking for blessings and support from all, including the Indie Hackers' brilliant community.
Be with us :)
