August 22, 2022 EntryAdvise.com 2.0 released!

After nearly a year of development, the new 2.0 edition of EntryAdvice.com is complete. Since the first release in October 2021, I have analyzed the entire project and decided on the best course of action.

There is more valuable travel advisory data, with enhanced design and user experience. A lot of new data has been included, such as ATM density, public holiday lists, fast food and hotel chains, safety indicators, and even smoking restrictions.

Way to go! I sent you a quick email via EntryAdvice.com.

    Cheers!

October 16, 2021 The first dataset is added and MVP completed

After weeks of manually searching for official information on COVID restrictions and visa regime, the content is finally available for public for most of countries. Now, as MVP is ready, I will gradually include new content sections (eg. transportation tips).

Site looks great and functions very well. What are your next steps with it?

You might add State Department Travel Advisories. Your visa requirements might be better placed closer at the top of your faqs? Below covid but above money?

Personally I am looking at Spain as a destination in the near future. I would love to be able to subscribe to alerts when there is a destination status change. That is also something you can then monetize.

I would change some of the language in the About page.

    Good luck with this site.

Thank you for your suggestions - that is absolutely makes sense! In the near future I am going to add a possibility to create user profiles where one would be able to change display settings and get notification about country updates.

As regards about page, I will rewrite this text ASAP to make it sound more professional and try to explain the general idea in a better way.

Besides user profiles and links to travel advisory published by US, UK , I am going to add information about transportation (rail/bus operators, cities with subway systems, etc.) and security recommendations.

Changes look great. There are also a list of domains that you may want to set aside and test for stickiness and the radio test. LMK if you want them sent to you.

I look forward to your progress with your site.

        Cheers!

Thank you Chris! I will be more than grateful for any resources that could help me improve this mini project!

June 9, 2021 The initial concept

EntryAdvise.com began as a little side project with the aim of collecting all essential travel guidance material in one place.

I spent hours searching for appropriate official government sites that might give trustworthy information about COVID test and quaraintine requirements while I was preparing my summer vacation. Then, I decided to go over each of the entrance requirements by hand, consolidate what I learned, and share links to further information on other official websites.

About

This idea came to me when I was looking for destinations open to vaccinated tourists. It takes time to search for relevant information on COVID entry limitations, so I decided to compile all of this for each country.
