A home decor and design consultation platform
The first transaction happened on Esthetly when one of the users came to consult our plant decor consultant to decorate her patio. The consultant offered help via free email consultation but the happy customer decided to tip the consultant. Even though the amount was small, it felt good to see our vision coming to reality
It's been a 1-year effort to get here, but Esthetly just passed 50 signups!
The good news is that we were able to solve the classic chicken/egg situation by onboarding sellers in 2 sided marketplaces using organic marketing strategies. We didn't have to spend any money on onboarding sellers.
We created a website using the MERN stack (reactjs, nodejs, express, MongoDB), hosted on Namecheap, and optimized it for production. The website is responsive and works on all devices. The website is optimized for performance and uses Amazon S3 for media storage.
The seed of Esthetly was planted when I was working on my home decor project a few years back. I was filling in for an interior designer and felt the need to consult an interior designer for a flat rate hourly rate to validate my design decisions but could not find any platform offering just the consultations.

Contrats! How did the customer tip? Did they just send the money or you implemented a tipping system?
Esthetly is integrated with Stripe for payment processing. Payments including Tips are processed via Stripe.
