After a year of chit chat and 2 months of actual building, we finally completed out MVP and started contacting some friends who we knew would be interested. We're so excited to get early feedback and are are already preparing to take it way too personal!

After months of begging with no success, a dev friend refused to co-found with us since he already had a full time job and several side projects of his own. It was the best thing that happened to the project. He suggested we check out bubble.is as a way to quickly build an MVP, so we decided to just build the thing outselves! No coders, just accountants.

We quickly realized that instead of just building a cool portal to post PDFs and notes, we could actually link to bank accounts, collect transactions in an actual database and deliver live reports! We're an real life webapp!

As a traditional accounting firm we've been shuffling receipts in and out of shoeboxes for years. We love what we do, but by far the biggest headache (and inefficiency) is cleaning up Quickbooks messes to get a tax return out the door. To put an end to it we decided we needed to be in total control of the books. As little input from the SMB owner as possible!
