Introducing ExactFeedback: Revolutionizing User Feedback in the SaaS Ecosystem

Imagine running a marathon blindfolded. Sounds absurd, right?

Piloting a SaaS venture without good user feedback can feel like moving without direction.

Introducing ExactFeedback, the GPS for your entrepreneurial marathon.

The Problem Space

The landscape of gathering user feedback in the SaaS industry is like navigating a labyrinth.

Surveys and focus groups can make getting feedback from users feel difficult and overwhelming. This leads to sparse input that’s hardly actionable.

Usually, the feedback received is not easy to analyze or integrate into the product roadmap.

These old systems often can't provide up-to-date information, so valuable insights become outdated.

Consequently, you’re left paddling in a sea of ambiguity, unsure how to tailor your product to meet real, pressing needs.

The irony is clear: the software can't improve itself efficiently because it can't capture user input.

Our Journey

While working in SaaS entrepreneurship, we encountered the same feedback issues we just talked about.

It was like trying to catch fireflies in the dark, knowing their glow held the secret to improvement but never quite capturing them.

That moment became the catalyst for ExactFeedback. Our mission is not only to create a new software product. It is also to make the journey of starting a business easier and exciting.

As two founders deeply passionate about digital entrepreneurship, we’ve walked miles in the shoes of our potential users. Now, we’re committed to paving a smoother path for others to walk.

The ExactFeedback Solution

Think of a Swiss Army knife, a tool designed to cut through the challenge of gathering feedback. That’s ExactFeedback for you.

Our solution starts with a streamlined interface so simple that users won’t just walk away. Within moments, they can create feedback, upvote others’ suggestions, and add comments.

We’ve even provided an anonymous voting feature for those who prefer a veil of privacy.

Existing Features of ExactFeedback (for now!):

  • Feedback Creation: Easy-to-use input boxes for instant feedback

  • Upvote System: Users can rank feedback by upvoting

  • Label System: Categorize feedback for easier analysis

  • Comment System: Facilitates a dialogue between users and admins

  • Anonymous Vote: Enables discreet participation

  • Custom Branding: Tailor the interface to reflect your brand

  • Control Panel: A dashboard for real-time insights and analysis

  • Mobile-Friendly: Seamless operation on smartphones and tablets

Ease of implementation is our mantra. Our control panel is like the cockpit of your feedback operation. It gives you real-time insights without needing a data science degree.

The user-friendly interface isn’t just a facade. It’s a core part of the package that turns customer insights into actionable, valuable directions for your business.

You don't need to worry about understanding complex graphs and spreadsheets anymore. The information you need will be easily accessible to help you make decisions.

What’s Next

We are excited to bring innovation to ExactFeedback and make your entrepreneurial life more efficient.

Picture the board where all your feedback lives; now imagine painting it with custom colors to match your brand. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Roadmap Features of ExactFeedback:

  • Custom Board Colors: Give your board a personal touch with brand-aligned colors.

  • Third-Party Integrations: Sync with Trello, ClickUp, GitHub, Jira, Notion, and more to come.

  • Password-Protected Boards: Keep your feedback space exclusive to your team.

  • Widget Support: Open your board directly via an iframe, making access even easier.

Picture how seamlessly your feedback processes can integrate with platforms like Trello, ClickUp, GitHub, Jira, and Notion.

In addition, you can secure your boards with a password and easily access them through an iframe. We’re not just dreaming here; this is our roadmap, and these upgrades are right around the corner.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting for my fellow IndieHackers. We’re rolling out an exclusive invitation for you to be among the first to experience the ExactFeedback revolution.

Hey Matteo, great to see the process. As a UI/UX designer, I GREATLY appreciate companies focusing on what the user wants and how to pivot products to be more successful based on user feedback.

Took a look at your site and just wanted to point out that where you talk about custom branding (as a designer I totally get it) but when talking to a ton of Saas business owners they almost always refer to it as "White Labeling" not saying you have to change it but just wanted to throw it out there.

Keep up the good work! Excited to see where you guys go!

Hi Zach, first of all thanks for your feedback! What you said is true, custom branding is essentially white labeling.

We believe that "custom branding" is easier to understand compared to "white labeling". In case anyone finds it difficult, in the homepage there is a description that clarifies its purpose.

Hi Matteo, nice work and congrats on the progress! Recently, I have seen some pushback on the idea of building a product too close to your user feedback.

In the metaphor of a marathon, the question would be: "Why would you use a GPS to run a marathon?"
Is it possible that too much feedback from you users is like constantly looking at a GPS while you are running? It takes more mental energy than it's worth and could confuse you if you get an erroneous reading from the GPS.

    What do you think?

Hi Mihcael, thank you very much for the compliments, it's always nice to get feedback.

Your question is really interesting. I think letting users help our product is valuable.

In our opinion, users must be involved in the development of the product they use. It benefits both the users and us as founders (because via feedback we can improve our product to have a better market fit).

In case of unnecessary feedback you can remove it with our solution. But it is up to you to decide whether or not to take that feedback into consideration.

Congrats on the release. How is it different from all the other feedback tools?
