Stop Wondering Where Your Money Went

July 6, 2026 I tracked every penny I spent for 30 days. What I found made me sick.

I tracked every penny I spent for 30 days. What I found made me sick.

$197 gone on stuff I couldn't even remember buying. A coffee here. A "quick" food order there. A subscription I forgot I was paying for.

The problem was never that I made too little. It's that I had no idea where it was going.

So I built the tool I wished existed. It's called ExpenseSumo.

Here's the deal:

  • You type in what you spend. Takes 5 seconds. (No, it does NOT connect to your bank. It never will. Your money is nobody's business but yours.)

  • It shows you, in plain numbers, where every penny went this month.

  • It tracks money people owe you and money you owe them. So you stop "forgetting" the $50 your friend never paid back.
It warns you when a budget is about to blow up, BEFORE you overspend, not after.

  • It works in any browser. Nothing to download.

Honest part: It's free. Forever. Not a 7 day trap that asks for your card. The free plan just works, for as long as you want. If you ever want more (unlimited accounts, full history, custom categories), Pro is $6.99/month.

And right now I'm giving the first 500 people a Lifetime deal (+Founding Member Badge) for a one time fee, starts from $79. Pay once, never again, locked in as a Founding Member. When the 500 spots are gone, they're gone.

I'd rather you start free and never pay me a cent than keep guessing where your money went.

What caught my attention is that you deliberately chose not to connect to bank accounts.

Most finance apps optimize for automation. You're optimizing for awareness. Those lead to very different user behaviors, and for people trying to change spending habits, manual reflection may end up being more valuable than automatic tracking.

About

Most budgeting apps want bank access, sell your data, or automate everything for you. I wanted something simple, secure, and manual. So you actually notice what you spend, instead of automating it away.
