Another milestone this week for Explain Code App. First paying customers. It took some trail and error as we looked at the usage over time of Explain Code App users.
Interesting that I'm reporting this milestone on April 1st. But no this isn't an April fools joke. Explain Code App is growing.
After making a few changes, we hit this milestone. Can't wait to see Explain Code App grow further.
Cheers.
Explain Code App continues it user growth rate and I'm so excited to continue adding to this platform and seeing it continued usage.
When I first contemplated building Explain Code App it was a side project to make use of the various GPT-3 prompts that were developed for https://www.Tenably.app
Since then with feedback from users and seeing the how the tools are being used. It's not my baby and I will be giving it the attention it needs to develop.
Cheers

Explain Code App is now at 450+ users, at this rate we are gaining an average of 49 new users per week.
As we approach 500 users within the application. We will reach out to users to gain some feedback on what tools are the best and need to be further developed.
We will also review our pricing, as the we've noticed and heard from many students that are using the platform.
Maybe a special student pricing tier?
Cheers everyone.

In 3 days Explain Code App went from 363 users to just over 400 users.
This is fantastic and makes the team even more excited for what the future releases we have planned for Explain Code App.
If any Indie Hackers have suggestions on what features they'd like to see. Please reach out to the team.
Cheers.

I truly love posting these milestones. I try to keep up with them as Explain Code App gains an average of 6+ users a day. This is all thru organic growth. WE DO NOT MARKET Explain Code App at all.
We do have email funnels setup, that has 500+ subscribers.
Most of the traffic we receive is thru Organic search and backlinks.
Cheers everyone, as Explain Code App's user base continues to grow.

I can't beleive the user base is growing this fast. We aren't currently doing any marketing of the application at all.
There are still major updates and additions to Explain Code App in the works. As many users have commented, we need to add examples to the home page so potential users can see how it works before signing up.
We went from just over 250 users 7 days ago, to now having over 300 users.
Cheers.

Explain Code App has quickly crossed another user milestone. Now having over 250 active users on the platform.
Actively reviewing tool use for enhancements. I think once we pass 350 users the data will help make the choice as to which to focus on.
Cheers

I would strongly suggest adding more examples on the landing page. I did not want to sign up but wanted to see what the product is about and how it works... unfortunately did not find much examples of real usage in the landing page.

I will definitely be using this once the language I am learning is on here. Which is Ruby by the way. If you did this for all languages, you could charge a lot more for this. This is most certainly a game-changer, especially for people learning to code. Watching this very closely.

I'll add Ruby this week.

About
I've spent a lot of time using GPT-3 to solve Web Accessibility problems. My thoughts are the tools I developed to solve that problem can also be used to help developers understand code faster.
