FanlistHQ
Early access for busy makers
After much sharing with groups and real people many people like the idea of a simplified waitlist but it's not enough of a problem for people to pay right away.
For approximately every 27 unique visits 0 would signup and the average time on site was 1min26sec.
Many seemed to be interested in the Early access "Accept Payments" feature. So I'm making this the highlight of the landing for now and testing it again if all goes well we should get better conversion rates and it would make building and maintaining a whole lot easier.
It took 5 weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for FanlistHQ. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in RedwooJS since that's what I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I've heard this a lot, that you just have to build something, anything even if it's not the best idea in the world as your first product and you'll run into real problems along the way.
It turned out that I had quite a few problems worth solving, and the most interesting one led me to the idea for FanlistHQ!

Building and managing the early access list is not easy, it's something that we do time and time again. You need to set up your emails, newsletter signup, stripe if you want to get paid and keep up. Not cool!
