Fantasy Dynasty

Hey Indie Hackers,
I’m a solo developer and I recently launched the beta for Fantasy Dinasty, a free, highly customizable platform for NBA and WNBA dynasty leagues.

The Problem:
If you play fantasy basketball casually, platforms like ESPN, Yahoo, or Sleeper are perfectly fine. But if you are a hardcore fan who wants to play a deep "General Manager" experience, you hit a wall. The big platforms completely ignore advanced mechanics like rookie wage scales, taxi squads, and realistic salary caps.
On top of that, the growing WNBA community is left entirely in the dark, with basically zero support for complex dynasty leagues.

The Build:
I decided to build the solution myself. Managing all these rules, player contracts, and transactions is a massive data challenge. I've been building out the architecture using C#, React, and PostgreSQL to handle the heavy lifting.
One of the biggest lessons so far has been transitioning from a pure backend mindset to user experience. Translating a complex database schema into an intuitive UI is tough! I’ve even brought in a UX writer to help humanize the copy and make the onboarding flow less intimidating for non-technical users.

Current Status:
The beta is officially live and free. I’m currently looking to connect with other builders to get feedback on a few things:
Navigating a niche: Has anyone here built a product for a hyper-specific, passionate community? How did you find your first 100 true fans?
First impressions: If anyone wants to poke around the beta, I’d love to know if the core value proposition is clear right from the homepage.
