The Problem
While working on various projects as a developer, I noticed a recurring issue: small businesses and startups often struggle to create effective FAQ pages. These pages, though simple in concept, are vital for answering customer questions, reducing support tickets, and improving user experience.

The existing solutions were either too technical, lacked customization, or failed to provide actionable insights. For many businesses, the process was overwhelming, time-consuming, and often left undone.

The Idea
I asked myself: What if there were a tool that made creating and managing FAQ pages as easy as writing an email? That’s when the idea for FAQly was born.

FAQly is a SaaS platform that allows businesses to create, customize, and share FAQ pages effortlessly. But it’s more than just a builder—it provides analytics to help businesses understand what their customers are looking for and optimize their pages accordingly.

Building the Product
The journey started with a simple MVP. I focused on three key features:

1. Ease of Use: A drag-and-drop FAQ builder.

2. Customization: Branding options to match the business's style.

3. Insights: Analytics to track FAQ performance and customer behavior.

Using tools I was familiar with (Laravel for the backend and React.js for the frontend), I built the core functionality. The development process was challenging but incredibly rewarding.

Challenges Along the Way
Building FAQly wasn’t without its hurdles. Balancing simplicity with powerful features was tricky. I also needed to ensure the product was affordable for small businesses while providing enough value to justify a subscription.

Launch and Early Feedback
I launched the MVP with a few early adopters and received invaluable feedback. They loved the simplicity and analytics but suggested features like collaboration tools and more advanced customization options, which I’m now working on.

What’s Next?
I’m focused on growing FAQly’s user base by engaging with communities like Indie Hackers and offering free trials to businesses willing to test and provide feedback. My goal is to make FAQly the go-to tool for small businesses and startups looking to simplify their customer support.

I hope my story inspires others to act on their ideas. You don’t need to solve a massive, groundbreaking problem to build something meaningful. Sometimes, improving a small, overlooked aspect of business life can make a big impact.
