Fardelsud
EU-based website, API, and heartbeat monitoring.
I run a site targeting European users. When I started looking for uptime monitoring, I kept running into the same problem: most tools check your site from US servers. For a site where latency and data residency actually matter, that felt wrong. I also wanted checks from two different European countries, not just one, so a false positive from a single location wouldn't wake me up at 3am unnecessarily.
I couldn't find something that hit all of these at a price that made sense for a side project. So I spent the last couple of months building it.
What Fardelsud does:
- Website monitoring with checks from multiple EU locations
- Dual-country verification before any alert fires
- API monitoring and heartbeat monitoring (paid plan)
- Free plan with 3 monitors, no credit card needed
- Paid plan at €7/month or €60/year
Servers in Europe. Data stays in Europe. GDPR compliant.
Right now the only user is me, it's actively monitoring my other site. I'm launching here first because I want honest feedback from people who actually build and run things.
If you run a site that serves European users, or you just want monitoring that checks from Europe, I'd love for you to try it: https://fardelsud.com
Happy to answer any questions about the build or the decisions I made along the way.
About
I needed uptime monitoring for my own EU-targeted site, but existing tools check from US servers. I also wanted dual-country verification to avoid false alerts. Couldn't find anything free, so I built it myself!

It is such a massive headache when a single server hiccup in a US-based monitoring center triggers a "site down" alert that wakes you up for absolutely no reason. Most developers don't realize that using only one location for verification is the fastest way to get "alert fatigue," where you eventually start ignoring notifications because they're so often false positives.
Since you are focusing on data residency and GDPR compliance, are the alert logs and heartbeat metadata also stored exclusively on EU-based infrastructure, or do you use any external global providers for the notification delivery?
Hey Muhammad,
Thanks for reaching out. All our metadata is stored exclusively in EU servers (Germany and Austria) and external services like email notifications are also done using EU services (Brevo). Feel free to give it a try for your site and let me know if you miss some feature !
That is a solid commitment to the "EU-only" architecture because using local providers like Brevo really closes the loop on that data residency promise. It is rare to see a tool that actually follows through on the privacy side for every single notification log.
Sticking to that strict compliance is a massive advantage for anyone handling sensitive European client data. By the way I handle digital PR and media placements so I see how much authority a brand gains when they lean into a specific niche like GDPR-first monitoring. Positioning this as the "sovereign" choice for EU developers is a strong hook for scaling.
Are there specific European regions or countries you are planning to add to the monitoring network next?
