Launch Day! We're live on Product Hunt!

We're excited to be officially launching Fast.io today!

Our platform is a solution for designers, developers, and marketers looking to automate everything needed to host and track files and static websites at an enterprise scale.

We developed Fast.io because we recognized that the process of deploying static content today is complicated and time-consuming. Solutions like S3 require manual uploading, a separate CDN configuration, a manual review of raw data logs, and tedious cache flushing each time you make an update.

We want to get content online quickly with the simplicity and ease of use of cloud storage without sacrificing the reliable scalability and performance of a CDN

Fast.io tightly integrates with your current workflows and preferred cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MediaFire, Box, and GitHub) to manage files. It includes an integrated CDN, using CloudFlare and Akamai for lightning-fast global deploys, a visual dashboard, and detailed, accurate analytics data sent to Google Analytics and Mixpanel.

We’d love for you to check it out and we appreciate any and all feedback - https://www.producthunt.com/posts/fast-io

Hey @Ridge Thanks for launching Fast.io. Love what you have done and congrats on the successful launch.

I've been building static websites for clients over the last four years and one of the common time consuming repeated tasks is making website changes locally and having it to re-upload it to Godaddy. With fast.io I can make the changes and upload the code file to google drive or dropbox.

Thanks for making the process easy. I've also upvoted Fast.io on PH :)

Hi @Ridge, the product looks amazing! I'll definitively give it a try!

Do you store all the files in your servers? I got confused by this statement:
"Unlimited Storage - Fast.io will support whatever your cloud storage supports"
Do you upload all the files from my cloud storage once and then you keep them stored, or you just cache them for certain time and then re-fetch them when needed?

There is a limit in the number of files that I can store? What if I have an app that stores thousand or millions of files, but I only need to access frequently to the last ones?

Many thanks and congrats for the great product 👋

      Hi marian2js,

Thanks for the questions. The short answer is "no", we don't store everything. First, we only address contents in your "Fast.io" folder. What we store is dependant on your settings.

We have a multi-tier cache, so 1) an edge cache, 2) a level 2 cache, and 3) the origin cloud storage. We pre-cache the data from Level 2 to the edge too. Content lives in our L2 cache for a long period of time. This approach seems to work really well.

So if you have pre-caching turned on, yes we will sync all the contents (up to a hard limit) to our L2 cache. Beyond that hard limit, you can still directly address individual files, but we won't pre-cache them.

Let me know if you have more questions and thanks so much for your interest!

      Derek
